The appointment went well. I went in not knowing whether or not they'd do an ultrasound or listening for the heartbeat...The nurse told me that the DR would probably try to listen for the heartbeat. She said since I was skinny I might be able to hear it. The DR came in and we chatted for a bit, and then he tried to listen for the heartbeat...We were able to hear mine just fine! But no luck hearing the babies. He goes, well let me go get the machine and we'll look for it. I will admit i was a little worried when he left the room. But I guess I wasn't terribly worried since both the nurse & DR said I might be able to hear something. So he came back in with the ultrasound machine, and he had no problems at all seeing the little one. As soon as he did put the thing on my stomach the baby did jump a little bit, and seemed to be pretty active. Hence explaining why it was hard to get a heartbeat. It was pretty neat to see the head, and you could see the little heart beating on the screen as well!
I told my co-worker (Clara, she's the only one that knows about the baby right now...) that I got to see it, and she goes 'Let me see.' So appartenly I could've asked for a print out of the ultrasound, but I did not realize that. You'll all have to wait until next time to get your glimpse of the peanut. Being able to see the little one makes everything so much more real!! I'm super excited :):):)
